Bootlegs are recordings which are sold illegally, without the knowledge or participation of the artist. Anything from unreleased tracks to rare 12-inch mixes, live performance (either recorded by a fan in the audience or a "soundboard" from the mixing deck), "studio outtakes" that the artist believed to be unsuitable for official release, "rehearsal" material, the soundtrack from a television performance, or even a copy of a radio show can be included on these compact discs; some transferred directly from the original vinyl and no royalties are paid to the artist for these releases.
This site was designed to answer questions about bootlegs, titles, ratings, dates, set lists, and band personnel.
If you would like to see another artist linked in this site or if you have a page not linked yet I invite you to add your preference and or submit your site. This page needs to be as accurate as possible.
At this time you should find only one address to each band however I intended to post at least two links for artist to allowed multiple choices. It's my purpose to update this page weekly.
If you find a dead URL (error 404) please notify me. Sometimes the page is still in the current directory but in a different level; in that case you should retype the address to the upper level.
If you are a newbie or only now get interested in bootlegging I deeply recommended you to read and save this exhaustive and helpful FAQ maintained by Jeff Kuhn.
The right place in the web to trade bootlegs is the newsgroup alt.music.bootlegs
